PIKACHU

025 / PIKACHU - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Pikachu
Type: Electric
Species: Mouse
Generation: One
Height: 0.4m (1′04″)
Weight: 6.0kg(13.2 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Pikachu are known to have acute senses of hearing, thanks to their large ears. Most domestic Pikachu are very intelligent, understanding and interpreting human speech at levels far surpassing those of any pet dog. A female Pikachu has a small "dent" at the end of its tail, causing it to resemble a heart. It evolves from Pichu by the measure of it's happiness, and evolves into Raichu using a Thunderstone. There's also two Pokédolls based on Pikachu; Normal and Surfin'.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 16.5 cm /6.49 in
Width: 9.6 cm /3.78 in
Depth: 18.5 cm /7.28 in
No. of Pages: 4

NOTES: Special thanks go to POdragon for her help with some of the 3D editing. Before closing the model, glue a penny onto the inside of tummy, as a counter balance for the huge tail! Observe the coloured tabs on the fingers - it'll make building (away from the .PDO) much easier. The apple is also included in the download pack.

  4. hey, great model

but I wanted to know if you could help on the fingers. It's sort of hard to understand where the pieces go

    thanks :D

  5. Yes, the fingers are tricky, but this is the case with every model that has fingers/toes.

The finger tabs have been colour coded, so that you can see where the tabs attach.

But the best advice we can offer you is to use Pepakura Viewer - the program will show you how each piece fits together, which tab goes where, and where the next corresponding template section is.

  19. Hey, is there a certain place that's easy to close? Not sure where to close :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Same question. In which order should I make it ? Back at first ? Or front ? Can I glue the tail at the end ?
Where should I close it ?
    Thanks :)

  21. @Kristen: we usuallt recommend to close at the feet or the back since those are the place where people cant see when on a shelf :P

As an order, start with head, make arms, tail, body then feet.
