POKÉ BALL BOX

POKÉ BALL

Interesting Facts: The Poké Ball (モンスターボール, Monsutābōru?, Monster Ball in original Japanese language versions) is a spherical device used by Pokémon Trainers to capture wild Pokémon and store them when not active. The balls convert a Pokémon into energy upon contact, suck it inside, and close automatically. Stronger Pokémon are able to struggle and possibly break free, while those that have been weakened are easily captured. The Poké Ball, not in use, is the size of a golf ball and with the press of the central button, enlarges to the size of an orange. The Pokémon is released for battle by throwing the ball, and when retrieving a Pokémon, a beam of red colored light will convert the Pokémon into energy and retrieve it. (from the Gameplay of Pokémon Wiki)

THE POKÉ BALL BOX
Height: 10 cm/4 in, 15 cm/6 in, 20 cm/8 in, 25 cm/10 in
No. of Pages: 4, 9, 13, 27
No. of Pieces: 33, 34, 47, 70
Level: Medium
Designer: PMF
Builder: Paperbuff
NOTES: Follow the numbers on the pieces for the suggested building order. Since the poké ball is designed as a box, I very highly recommend using card stock even at the smallest size. Because once built, you won't be able to resist opening and closing, and opening and closing... =P

Also included in the download pack is the Premium Poké Ball.

Download: A4 / Letter

  6. I don't know what the problem might be - I had no problem downloading it and opening the file myself. But I have had a similar issue with a Japanese site. The solution there was to download it using an alternate browser (ie: firefox <-> IE).

However, if your problem is simply about opening the .zip file, then I would suggest perhaps using an alternate archiving program, such as 7Zip http://download.cnet.com/7-Zip/3000-2250_4-10045185.html

Also, make sure that you have accociated the .pdo files with Pepakura Viewer if they appear as a generic file:
    >Right click on .pdo file
    >open with
    >browse programs
    >tamasoft
    >pepakura viewer
    >OK

All the strips like the black strip around the pokeball are really short. it doesnt make a complete circle around the ball to center!

It's weird because I print out the papes and the strips and stuff. like the red and black ones, even the outher pokeball (Red) won't go all the way around it. ending up a couple inches short. Did I do something wrong? What happened?

    P.S. I'm making the 15 cm one

  21. i need help plz!!! ive tried making the first pokeball and the white bit doesnt fit inside!! i dunno where ive gone wrong... so can i hav some advice / help??? last comment i tried to post but it never turned up :'(

    ReplyDelete
  22. Alot of people are having trouble making that white bit and also keep in mind that it's not an easy model.

Best advice I can give you is to look carefully at the PDO in Pepakura Viewer and take a look at the picture in the post.

Beside that, you can always send a picture to our email and we'll see if we can see where the problem is.

  23. Will all of the small poke dolls fit in these and if so, which size ball fits them best; I'm going to give these as gifts with the Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur doll so I want them to look as good as I can.

  24. is there any chance of textures for the great/ ultra balls for these, cos their awesome, and i want to have a pokeball in a great ball in an ultra ball, purely for the sake of it.

  30. may i ask a question?
if i want to do this piece, do you think using modelling card works?

    ReplyDelete
  31. It probably would, worth a try. To my knowledge it hasn't been done before, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

  32. I've been trying for like an hour, but I can't open this papercraft in pepakura viewer. Can anyone help me? I've done this with other papercrafts before and I've tried both A4 and Letter, and it still doesn't work. No luck.

    ReplyDelete
  33. You're using winrar or winzip to extract the zip file first, right? Because the pdo is inside the file provided, it's not directly the file provided.

    ReplyDelete
  34. what about the inside? What can I do to make it look good?

    ReplyDelete
  35. If Pokemon models were resized (for example, shrunk down to about a height of 3-4 in.)
to fit in the Pokeball, would the Pokemon models themselves still be able to be made
(what with the cutting and folding involved)?

To resize a model without photo-shop, would page setup options have to be changed
    at the time of printing?

    Thank you in advance.

  36. The strips 1-2 don't go all the way around the ball, is it something I'm doing wrong or does the template need a redesign? Please answer!

Is there a size big enough to fit nearly all models inside but is still reasonably sized? I want to fit my Metagross, Absol, Espeon, Latios, Reuniclus (when it comes out), and Gallade into balls for realism. I will probably put a peice of tape on the inside so they don't completely open, and instead open like they do in the anime.

  38. What do I do with strips 1 & 2? I don't know what they are used for.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I can't find the link to the Pokeball
