SNIVY (TSUTARJA)

495 / SNIVY - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Snivy (Tsutarja)
Type: Grass
Species: Grass Snake Pokémon
Height: 0.6 m (2'00″)
Weight: 8.1 kg (17.6 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Ken Sugimori has said that Snivy's personality was meant to be similar to that of European (particularly French) royalty, specifically mentioning The Rose of Versailles anime as inspiration. The Rose of Versailles was also the inspiration for two characters of the day in the anime. It evolves into Janoby starting at level 17, which evolves into Jaroda starting at level 36.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 19.9 cm/ 7.9 in
Width: 18.3 cm/ 7.1 in
Depth: 8.3 cm/ 3.3 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 43
Level: Medium
Designer: PMF
Photo: PMF

NOTES: Snivy is kinda easy to build, just start with the nose, add the eyes, then build the neck. After building the neck, you should glue the "collar" and the arms to the body before building the rest. Same thing with the legs which should be glued when building the belly. The tail is a bit weird since the tip of the tail has to be glue on top of the tail kinda like a sandwich with the big green part between the 2 pieces forming the tip of the tail.

Snivy's legs are too small to support the model so you will need to glue the feet to base if you want the model to stand right.

  7. @Almadine: Technically, it should be Tsutaaja or Tsutāja, since it's a stressed A sound, different from the normal A sound. But Tsutaaja can be misread in English as Tsuta-aja and they don't use any characters with macrons in the name, so Tsutarja is the best spelling they can do. "Aa" in Japanese is supposed to sound like the English "ar" anyway.

  22. Really,REALLY amazingly good model! but i have problem... there is a piece on the throat thats missing.. or is there suppose to e a piece there? cuz if not.. then i will have to start ALL over again.... witch would suck... really bad...

    ReplyDelete
  23. as always, try to use Pepakura viewer to help you understand where the pieces go.

and no, all the pieces are there, none are missing. you either lost a piece or glued one incorrectly.
