Interesting Facts: Nightmare is a non-damaging ghost-type move introduced in Generation II. Nightmare will fail if the target is not sleeping. It will end if the target awakens from its sleep and its effects will not continue if a target is put back to sleep. However, if the target is put to sleep in the same turn it was woken up by an item, the effects will continue.

    Is Nightmare a real pokemon? because it doesn't say what its species,height and width is(in the game). Though it looks pretty cool.

    Looks like a Fly-type Dark Chao from Sonic Adventure 2... Maybe SEGA saw this move and modeled that Chao after it...

    im pretty sure that chao came first. i think nightmare is darkrai's signature move, so it hasnt been around that long.

    Nope, that's Dark Void. Nightmare has been around since Gold/Silver/Crystal.
