KABUTOPS

142 / KABUTOPS - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Kabuto
Type: Rock/Water
Species: Shellfish Pokémon
Height: 1.3 m (4′03″)
Weight: 40.5 kg (89.3 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Kabuto's four insect-like legs have vanished and two long feet with two toes each stand in their place. Two long sharp claws (or sickles) extend from Kabutops's exoskeleton and several plates close the opening that used to be there. There are six hard spikes going down from the back of its neck, three on each side that lead down towards the beginning of its tail. Its head is covered in a rock-hard, semicircle-shaped armor. A tail protrudes from its back, bearing the same color as about three-fourths of its body. Its gills have also begun to change to make it land compatible.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 16.3 cm/ 6.4 in
Width: 17.5 cm/ 6.9 in
Depth: 23.2 cm/ 9.1 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 45
Level: Medium/Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Brandon
NOTES: Build from the head down. Build the arms from the tip of the scythe to the shoulder, attaching as soon as possible. Attach the back spines once possible. Close at the bottom of the foot, and plop the claws on when done. If the left scythe is placed correctly it will stand, but will still be a little unstable. A little bit of weight in the tail is suggested, to correct this.

Awesome! But in the PDO I saw there is a floating piece under its head, where do I have to glue that piece?

Brandon said...

Right above the spot where it's floating. It's the mouth. Just add a little glue to the tabs, and put it on the underside of the head once it's built.
