VIVILLON

666 / VIVILLON - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Vivillon
Type: Bug/Flying
Species: Scale Pokémon
Height: 1.2 m (3'11")
Weight: 17.0 kg (37.5 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Vivillon is a butterfly-like Pokémon with wings that come in a large variety of patterns. Vivillon's thorax is an elliptical shape divided into three segments, each with a different shade of gray. Its legs are also elliptical which are black on the lower half and grayish on the upper half. Vivillon has two black, circular hands and no visible arms. It has a round, grayish head with large, black, pixelated eyes and a pair of skinny antenna. It can spread its scales to calm an opponent's fighting spirit, as shown in the anime. Its wings' pattern is affected by the climate in which it lives.

NOTES: Start at the head and proceed to the body, both pretty simple to build. After the head is built, build the arms, legs and antennae, they're all tricky so take your time and use tweezers for the tabs. The antennae can be hard, specially when joining the top and the tubes.
The wings are pretty simple, glue the back to the front using a little bit of glue and glue small segments at a time to avoid wrinkles. Be sure to cut the wings curvy too, not exactly on the sharp edges.
Start joining at the parts together by gluing the head to the torso. After that the wings to the body (note that the wings must be curved in order to fit), use a good glue at this point and the pictures as a reference for the curvature and the place to glue. After the model is built, gluing the appendages to the body will be simple.

The textures for the wings can be changed (default is Meadow), but you'll need the pdo for that. Savannah form is pictured.

I still remember that debate and the fun that was had over what #666 would be. Then they surprised everyone and gave us: not a dark type, not some ominous creature, nothing to do with any religious implication, but a cute little butterfly who changed colors based on where you live. And everybody traded it and became happier for it. Thank you for this little cutie.

Yes, vivillon! After all the work completing my set, vivillon is definitely one of my favorites from Gen 6. I'm going to build several of these...at least, I would if my printer wasn't busted.

it took me a little bit to figure out how to change the wings.
if you haven't already figured it out, here are the steps:
-after downloading the A4 or Letter, open the PDO in Pepakura
-click Settings, then Texture Settings...
-make sure Wings is highlighted, then click Specify Texture Image...
-in your vivillon folder is a Wings folder, open that up and choose which pattern you want!
-click Close in the Texture Configuration window and you're good to go
:)
