GENESECT

649 / GENESECT - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Genesect
Type: Bug/Steel
Species: Paleozoic Pokémon
Height: 1.5 m (4′11″)
Weight: 82.5 kg (181.9 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Genesect was revived from a Fossil and technologically enhanced by Team Plasma to create the most powerful Pokémon ever. N had the project canceled and the P2 Laboratory closed because he felt that Pokémon, who he thought to be perfect beings, would lose their beauty if modified by science. However, Scientist Dudley kept working on it, angry that N denied his talent. This scientist reconstructed Genesect and installed the cannon on its back.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 21.8 cm / 8.6 in
Width: 26.2 cm / 10.3 in
Depth: 33.0 cm / 13.0 in
Pages: 13
Pieces: 99
Level: Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
NOTES: Pretty tough one overall, with some small pieces, but manageable for sure - even better if you can use the PDO for reference. Any pieces with an "_S" after are only intended for use with the Extremespeed form (picture in Textures folder for reference), which is much more compact and does not need the base. Notes on the template for which pieces need replaced for that as well. Build from the head back, attaching the Cannon, working down toward the Abdomen. The abdomen and cannon are directly connected to each other for the normal form, but are distinctly separated for the Extremespeed form (as noted in template). Attach the shoulders and arms as you go, being pretty particular with the joints so that they're secure and stick. You may need to use a little extra glue, and let it stick and dry for a bit extra just to be sure. Same goes for the leg joints - try and use the base to center and weight the body before fully gluing the legs on. All drives included to swap out as desired. If building the Extremespeed form, the head, cannon (minus pieces 15/16, simply not needed), abdomen, legs, arms will all be separate, self enclosed pieces that glue together after they're all build. Head to Cannon, Abdomen inside, then arms and legs on the frame (like the picture included in Textures). Pages 8-9 are unique to the standing form, and pages 13-14 are unique to the Extremespeed form - feel free to skip the pair of pages that don't correspond to your desired form.

WURMPLE

265 / WURMPLE - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Wurmple
Type: Bug
Species: Worm Pokémon
Height: 0.3 m (1′00″)
Weight: 3.6 kg (7.9 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Wurmple has suction pads at the tips of its feet, which allow it to cling to glass or tree branches without slipping. It can spit white silk that turns gooey when exposed to the air. It can release poison from its tail spikes, which can weaken and poison foes. Wurmple lives in forests. It eats leaves and pulls bark off trees to feed on the sap. Taillow, Swellow, and Starly are natural predators of Wurmple.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 16.0 cm / 6.2 in
Width: 9.8 cm / 3.9 in
Depth: 19.9 cm / 7.8 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 39
Level: Medium
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
NOTES: Not quite as easy as I'd like it to be, but Wurmple is definitely a spikey little worm. Start from the horns on the head, and work your way down. The spikes that are part of the body are numbered to attach as you go, and the spikes that glue on the outside of the body are numbered afterward. Close the body at the white underbelly, and then gently glue on the feet and spikes accordingly. The red spikes don't have tabs to attach, but should be pretty easy to add a thin layer of glue on the edges of the spikes and press them into place on the body. Image included for reference as to where all the spikes go as well.

SWADLOON

541 / SWADLOON - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Swadloon
Type: Bug/Grass
Species: Leaf-Wrapped Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m (1′08″)
Weight: 7.3 kg (16.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Under its cloak are darker green, limp leaves which frame the sides of Swadloon's face and trail down on the sides of its body. The top of the cloak has two semicircular leaves that form a V shape. On its back are the veins of the leaf as well as a bit at the bottom tip of the cloak resembling a rounded tail. Swadloon lives on the forest floor and converts fallen leaves into nourishment, which helps the surrounding plant life grow.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 14.8 cm / 5.8 in
Width: 13.1 cm / 5.2 in
Depth: 21.4 cm / 8.4 in
Pages: 8 (5 normal pages, 3 to be printed on back)
Pieces: 34
Level: Easy
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Photos below provided by Ilana M (above) and Kara (below) via email!
Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
NOTES: Pretty easy one overall, the only real tricky part is doing the "double sided" pieces when printing. Be sure to print pages 5, 7, and 9 on the back of the previous pages (4, 6, 8). You can also skip printing these pages entirely, if you'd rather. From there, it builds pretty normally. Build the "body" first, going off the numbers. Add the scarf on top of the body once built. Then finish it off by topping it with the outer green "shell", and glue on the two leaves to the top of it.

CRUSTLE

558 / CRUSTLE - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Crustle
Type: Bug/Rock
Species: Stone Home Pokémon
Height: 1.4 m (4′07″)
Weight: 200.0 kg (440.9 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Crustle is very strong, to the point that it can carry heavy rocks for a long time, even through arid lands where it resides. It fights members of its species over territory in battles which can become very vicious. If its shell breaks during such a fight, it loses. When Crustle's shell breaks, it will become weaker and unsure of itself. Crustle's biggest strength is its thick claws; being strong enough to break even Rhyperior's sturdy carapace.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 14.0 cm / 5.5 in
Width: 18.4 cm / 7.2 in
Depth: 14.5 cm / 5.7 in
Pages: 6
Pieces: 38
Level: Easy-Medium
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
Photo (Below): From Illana M via email!
NOTES: Not a bad one - the bulk of the model is the shell, which is pretty easy overall. Build the face pieces (mouth, eyes, claws) first to have them handy, then build the shell. Once the shell is made, all the pieces can glue onto the shell in their respective places (mouth, eyes, claws on piece 29; legs on the black circles on 30). Piece 38 is meant as a spacer to hold up the shell, as the shell should be raised slightly off the ground - and the legs certainly aren't managing that on their own haha.

SNOM

872 / SNOM - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Snom
Type: Ice/Bug
Species: Worm Pokémon
Height: 0.3 m (1'00″)
Weight: 3.8 kg (8.4 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Snom anchors itself to branches with frigid thread it extrudes from its mouth to disguise itself as an icicle while sleeping. Snom consumes snow that has piled up on the ground. The more snow it consumes, the larger and more impressive the spikes on its back grow. As shown in Pokémon Camp, Snom are known to be voracious eaters, only being satisfied with heaping amounts of food.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 8.9 cm / 3.5 in
Width: 10.6 cm / 4.2 in

GOLISOPOD

768 / GOLISOPOD - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Golisopod
Type: Bug/Water
Species: Hard Scale Pokémon
Height: 2.0 m (6′07″)
Weight: 108.0 kg (238.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Golisopod has a shell as tough as diamond and retractable claws that can cleave seawater in two. While it is skillful in battle, it often meditates peacefully deep in seaside caves. It is sometimes accompanied by Wimpod. Golisopod will do anything to win a fight. When it sees an opening to take advantage of, Golisopod will use the small claws on its front legs to finish off its opponent. Grapploct is natural predator or prey of Golispod depending on who wins the fight.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 20.0 cm / 7.9 in
Width: 16.6 cm / 6.5 in
Depth: 24.0 cm / 9.5 in
Pages: 12
Pieces: 89
Level: Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Shiny Golisopod received from Mark B via email!
For this one in particular, please contact us at Paperpokes@gmail.com once you've finished it, to discuss how the weight distribution works too! I imagine Goli needs a base, but I'm not completely sure the best way to approach it.
NOTES: This one is tough, no way around that. It's also slightly indirect - you'll have to finish some parts of the body before starting to attach the armor, but you'll also have to slot in the waist armor before finishing the legs. The numbers on the template guide this, and reflect the slightly sporadic jumping between the appendages and the body. The main goal here is to build from the head down, then attaching the upper armor before moving too far down the waist. The arms and 'feelers' will attach just below the armor, gluing directly to the body on the outside. Ideally the lower hanging arm should also help support some of the weight/angle. From there, move down and completely make the waist armor before slotting it above the legs. Close the body at the leg indicated, and then attach the feet to the closed legs.

ESCAVALIER

189 / ESCAVALIER - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Escavalier
Type: Bug/Steel
Species: Cavalry Pokémon
Height: 1.0 m (3′03″)
Weight: 33.0 kg (72.8 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Escavalier is an insectoid Pokémon with a head sporting the red horsehair crest of a knight's helmet, with a visor underneath it. Its shoulders have large, round metal ridges, from which its thin black arms extend. The arms are tipped with red-striped protrusions resembling jousting lances. Its face and torso are bare of armor, but its lower body is concealed within a swirled gray shell with a red spike on the underside, which was presumably the shell of a Shelmet.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 21.0 cm / 6.7 in
Width: 18.3 cm / 3.5 in
Depth: 25.1 cm / 7.6 in
Pages: 6
Pieces: 47
Level: Medium
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
NOTES: This one is a bit weird, but nothing too awful. Start with the head/crest and work your way down - be careful attaching all the parts here, as some have pretty narrow connections. The shoulder/arms don't connect via tab to the body, but can simply be glued on directly. The helmet, body, shell, and arms are all separate pieces that will connect to each other independently. This one of course can't stand on its own either, so a bit of an oddly configured base is included to try and help with this.

HERACROSS CHIBI

214 / HERACROSS CHIBI - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Heracross
Type: Bug/Fighting
Species: Single Horn Pokémon
Height: 1.5 m (4′11″)
Weight: 54.0 kg (119.0 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Heracross is a bipedal, beetle-like Pokémon covered in a blue exoskeleton. There is a long, pronged horn on its forehead. The horn ends in a cross on the male and a heart-shape in the female. On either side of the horn is a short antenna with a spherical tip. Heracross has oval, yellow eyes. Its forearms have a pair of spikes near the wrists, while its thighs have a single spike each. It has two claws on its hands, and a single long claw on each foot. There is a single pair of wings covered by its carapace, which can be seen during its release from a Poké Ball in the 3D games.

THE PAPER MODEL

PARASECT

047 / PARASECT - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Parasect
Type: Bug/Grass
Species: Mushroom Pokémon
Height: 1.0 m (3′03″)
Weight: 29.5 kg (65.0 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Parasect is an orange, insectoid Pokémon that has been completely overtaken by the parasitic mushroom on its back. It has a small head with pure white eyes and a segmented body that is mostly hidden by the mushroom. It has three pairs of legs with the foremost pair forming large pincers. The fungus growing on its back has a large red cap with yellow spots throughout. The insect has been drained of nutrients and is now under the control of the fully-grown tochukaso. Removing the mushroom will cause Parasect to stop moving.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 18.1 cm / 7.1 in
Width: 20.4 cm / 8.0 in
Depth: 20.6 cm / 8.1 in
Pages: 9 (+1 for base)
Pieces: 80
Level: Medium
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
NOTES: The spindly legs may prove a bit difficult, but they aren't load bearing at least - just use the base to help support the body. Since most of this is a bunch of self contained parts, you can actually start pretty much wherever you want. I'd suggest starting with the order laid out on the template though - make the body, then the legs, the claws and then finally the eyes and mushroom. Connect the mushroom and body, attach the eyes, legs and claws. Really the only 'trick' is lining up all the pieces well - use the PDO for this if you can, but if not I've included notes on the template with where everything lines up as well.

JOLTIK

595 / JOLTIK - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Joltik
Type: Bug/Electric

Its ovoid body is completely covered in yellow fur, with notable tufts sticking out on each side of its face, just over each eye, and its lower back. Joltik has four blue eyes. The two larger eyes are set relatively far apart on its face, containing black pupils. The two smaller simple eyes are situated between the first pair, slightly higher up on its face. Joltik's mandibles point downward and reside at the bottom of its face, where they closely resemble tufts of hair.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 11.7 cm / 4.6 in
Width: 15.1 cm / 5.9 in
Depth: 16.5 cm / 6.5 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 44
Level: Easy-Medium
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Resized (A5) smol Joltik from Jerry J via email!
NOTES: This would actually just be outright Easy if it weren't for those small feet. The feet are rather spiky, and definitely the toughest part of this model (followed pretty closely by the spiky face). Work from the face through the rest of the body and close at the back foot, as indicated by the numbers. Also fun fact, this model is roughly lifesize too! Joltik is smol.

Its upper wings split in two with black trim along the top, and the bottom wings become smaller. Its drills become longer and larger, resembling javelins. Its legs are no longer insectoid, and instead resemble its arms in shape. Its abdomen becomes larger and grooved, and is attached to its thorax by a black structure. Its main stinger is now a pale yellow, and black stripes appear on on its abdomen, chest, and leg stingers. THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 28.7 cm/11.3 in
Width: 32.0 cm/ 12.6 in
Depth: 5.0 cm/2.0 in
No. of Pages: 5
No. of Pieces: 15
Level: Medium/Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: LuIS
NOTES: Start at the head and proceed to the body, both pretty simple to build. After the head is built, build the arms, legs and antennae, they're all tricky so take your time and use tweezers for the tabs. The antennae can be hard, specially when joining the top and the tubes.
The wings are pretty simple, glue the back to the front using a little bit of glue and glue small segments at a time to avoid wrinkles. Be sure to cut the wings curvy too, not exactly on the sharp edges.
Start joining at the parts together by gluing the head to the torso. After that the wings to the body (note that the wings must be curved in order to fit), use a good glue at this point and the pictures as a reference for the curvature and the place to glue. After the model is built, gluing the appendages to the body will be simple.

The textures for the wings can be changed (default is Meadow), but you'll need the pdo for that. Savannah form is pictured.

Species: Mushroom Pokémon
Height: 0.3 m (1'00")
Weight: 5.4 kg (11.9 lbs)
Interesting Facts: Though tochukaso are parasitic in nature, Paras manages to make use of the mushrooms by creating a semi-symbiotic relationship; the mushrooms draw their nutrients from the host Paras's body in order to grow, and Paras is able to use the mushrooms spores along with its own pincers for self-defense.

Species: Old Shrimp Pokémon
Height: 0.7 m (2' 04")
Weight: 12.5 kg (27.6 lbs)
Interesting Facts: Anorith is an aquatic, arthropod-like, greenish-gray Pokémon that uses the eight flexible, white-and-red appendages on both sides of its body to propel itself through the water. Its large head has two large, beady eyes extending from the side, and in the middle of the head is a round black pattern with two red spots. Two large, segmented claws protrude from below its head, serving as either defense against predators or a weapon against prey. These claws seem to have become the Fossil that Anorith can be resurrected from. Anorith’s carapace is gray, and its tail is small with two gray spikes. Its mouth is on the underside of its body, and resembles a screw in shape.

NOTES: You can build the head (regular numbers), arms (AR*/AL* for Right and Left arms), legs (L*/R* for Left and Right), Body (B*) and wings in any order and combine them all when each is complete. When building the arms, build the wiry blue parts first and plop them onto the end of the drill with a bit of glue. It's useful to use a small dab of glue inside the arms too, to reinforce it a little.
The legs are pretty straight forward, just connect the rings in that order. Close the head near the neck, and the body near the same point- they will glue together there, so any mistakes closing can be sealed between the head/body. Other than that, just be generally careful with the thin parts.
