TOXEL

848 / TOXEL- Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Toxel
Type: Electric/Poison
Species: Baby Pokémon
Height: 0.4 m (1'04″)
Weight: 11.0 kg (24.3 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Toxel has a poison sac which it uses to store its poison and secretes the same poison through its skin. By manipulating the chemical makeup of this poison, it can produce electricity. Toxel relays the electric poison through its skin. While the voltage produced by this electrified poison is weak, it can cause a tingling paralysis if touched.

THE PAPER MODEL

NOTES: The feet and hands are definitely the tough parts here - otherwise it's pretty smooth sailing. Start with the top of the head, working your way down. Attach the arms as soon as you can (numbered accordingly), and then glue on the legs to the diaper once the diaper is complete. The legs are separate pieces, so worthwhile lining them up with the arms to balance the body when attaching. Close at the end of the tail. New Years party hat included for extra fun- Happy New Years from our Poké New Years Baby!

I was super jazzed to build this model, but I really don't like the heavy black lines outlining each piece. Would it be possible to reupload with softer borders?

If you're able to access the PDO file with Pepakura, you can adjust the lines to be as light/dark as desired - I generally use the PDO to set it 2 notches from the lightest setting for that myself. Pepakura Viewer is free as well, and linked in FAQ

Excellent! I never knew I could fiddle with the lines on my own - this opens me up to a bunch of models I've skipped in the past.

I guess the only issue I'm running into now is that I prefer building the shiny variants and the PDO always opens the standard-color templates. Is there a method for uploading the shiny textures to Pepakura?

Thanks for helping me out! These kits got me through 2020, no joke.

Yup! Setting > Texture Setting allows you to select different (eg Shiny) texture files for each of the options. You could even use an image editor on the textures to completely change them and load them in, if you really wanted.
Good to hear as well! Certainly helped me keep busy too haha
