BUTTERFREE - Pokemon Papercraft

012 / BUTTERFREE - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Butterfree
Type: Bug / Flying
Species: Butterfly Pokemon
Height: 0.94m (3'07")
Weight: 31.97kg (70.5 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Butterfree resembles a vaguely anthropomorphic butterfly. However, unlike true insects, it only has four limbs. It has large veined wings which are white with black markings, but, in very rare cases individuals may be born with a pinkish variation. These markings can help distinguish male and female individuals. Butterfree is it's 3rd and final evolutionary stage - evolving from Metapod at level 10, and prior to that, Caterpie up to level 7.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 25.0 cm/9.84 in
Width: 21.9 cm/8.62 in
Depth: 19.2 cm/7.56 in
No. of Pages: 8
Level: Medium
Designer: Brandon and Skelekitty
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: The antennae on this model are VERY thin (~1mm thick) and some readers may resort to some profanity during construction, but it can be done! Also, regarding the wings - print them on "light" weight paper (normal printer paper / 80gsm) and use a "dry" glue (stick glue) when attaching both sides together to prevent wrinkles.

The wings print with a black box around them :o Really hard to cut out lol. The butterfree shown looks a lot bigger than mine! How do you make it print out bigger without doing photocopying to enlarge it?

Butterfree is all feet, antennae and wings. The actual body and head are quite small relative to the wings.

We made it as large as we could relative to every other Paperpokés model; any larger and it starts to look ludicrous.

There is no way of enlarging it without us having to make you an new template.

But you could take the .PDF down to your local printers and get them to print it out on the next size paper.

Any chance you guys could/are going to make a life size model (or a bigger one) like you did for Celebi for Butterfree? It would make those antennae a LOT easier to make~

It is unlikely that we will publish a 3'07" tall Butterfree.

I discovered how to make the antennae easier to make! When you're gluing the side to the tab, wrap it around an unfolded paperclip! It's the perfect size. ;D

it really worked for me!

Could you unlock it so I can scale it up to 3'7"?
