HOUNDOOM (Halloween Special)

229 / HOUNDOOM - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Houndoom
Type: Dark / Fire
Species: Dark Pokémon
Height: 1.4 m (4′07″)
Weight: 35.0 kg (77.2 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Houndoom's abilities are the same as Houndour's, only stronger. As a matter of fact, legends claim that anyone that gets burned by Houndoom's Fire attacks will never be healed and that Houndoom's howling was once claimed to be the call of the Grim Reaper. Houndoom are generally very protective, alert, headstrong, intelligent, and very focused. They can be overly aggressive, but only to protect themselves, their young, their territory, or their owner. However, when properly trained, they can be extremely loyal, loving, and caring Pokémon, as well as very good pets. It evolves from Houndour starting at level 24.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 17.0 cm/6.7 in
Width: 15.0 cm/ 5.9 in
Depth: 42.0 cm/16.1 in
Pages: 7
Pieces: 75
Level: Medium-Hard
Designer: POdragon
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: This model is probably one of the few models that would benefit being built as the lined version, particularly with regards to the horns, teeth, claws, feet, legs, and tail ... well, that's most of it so you may as well do the rest! The teeth need to be folded inside out, otherwise you'll end up with purple teeth, and I don't think that's correct, is it?

A really important tip for this model is to not attach the feet until the very last moment - that way you can ensure that they are flat and the model will stand up. Apart from the above, follow the numbers on the template, re: order of build, and close at the bottom of the legs and the sole of the feet.

GASTRODON

423 / GASTRODON - Pokémon Papercraft

Name:
West Sea Gastrodon
Type: Ground / Water
Species: Sea Slug Pokémon
Height: 0.9 m (2'11")
Weight: 29.9 kg (65.9 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Like its pre-evolution, there are two forms of Gastrodon: West Sea (pink and brown) and East Sea (blue and green), and they are found in the two halves of Sinnoh. It has three eyes in front of its head and two horns protruding from the sides of its head. These might be its antennae used to sense its surroundings. To do this, it waves its head side to side as if it were dancing. If any part of a Gastrodon's boneless body is ever ripped or torn off, it can grow back in very little time. It evolves from Shellos starting at level 30.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 22.0 cm/8.7 in
Width: 13.9 cm/ 5.5 in
Depth: 21.1 cm/8.3 in
Pages: 9
Pieces: 75
Level: Medium-Hard
Designer: POdragon
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: Build by numbers. Start at the horns, then the head and insert the horns into the appropriate gaps - pay attention to the seam alignment. Then continue down the neck and finish off the shell. Glue the two sides of each ribbon together and attach them to the shell, from the neck down the body and then join them together. Continue down the underside of the body and close model at the belly with good glue.

Name:
West Sea Shellos
Type:
Water
Species:
Sea Slug Pokémon
Height:
0.3 m (1'00")
Weight: 6.3 kg (13.9 lbs.)
Interesting Facts:
Shellos have two different appearances: West Sea (pink) and East Sea (blue), found on the respective sides of the Sinnoh region. Due to this, there is a myth that the Sinnoh region was once split in two. It evolves into Gastrodon starting at level 30.

DRIFBLIM

426 / Drifblim - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Drifblim
Type:
Ghost/Flying
Species:
Blimp Pokémon
Height: 1.2 m (3'11")
Weight:
15.0 kg (33.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts:
Drifblim seems to be a living hot air balloon, and can be used for transportation, having the strength to lift people. Unfortunately, like a real hot-air balloon, it goes with the winds, and as such, one cannot control its trajectory. Drifblim is drowsy in daytime, but is carried aloft by the winds in the evening in big groups. When noticed, they suddenly vanish. It evolves from Drifloon starting at level 28.

THE PAPER MODEL

Height:
25.0 cm/9.8 in
Width:
18.8 cm/ 7.4 in

No. of Pieces:

Photo:
Skelekitty
NOTES: As with Drifloon, the hardest part of this model is the cloud that sits on it's head. In fact, if it were not for this one piece, this would be an "easy" model - we strongly advise that you sit in front of the PDO while constructing this part - because it's reeeeeaally complicated! Alternatively, it has been suggested that if you find this piece too hard, then you could perhaps use a wad of cotton wool, instead.

Once you're done with that part, the rest is a breeze. Finish off the head, attach the cloud with good glue. Attach the belt of the skirt to the bottom of Drifblim, then attach the outside skirt, followed by the inside skirt - ensuring the inside tabs are folded at valley right-angles - then attach the base of the skirt to the inside.

There are two types of legs provided - straight ones that are included in the primary template, or alternatively, outwardly bent legs, which are supplied in a separate PDO. The above photo has both types attached, and you can chose which combination you wish to build.

Also attached are four different faces. To apply these textures in Pepakura Viewer, you go: SETTINGS > TEXTURE SETTINGS > SPECIFY TEXTURE IMAGE > [find the correct texture image supplied by us in the download file] > OPEN > CLOSE. Have fun!

Name:
Drifloon
Type:
Ghost/Flying
Species:
Balloon Pokémon
Height:
0.4 m (1′04″)
Weight: 1.2 kg (2.6 lbs.)
Interesting Facts:
It is said that Drifloon may be the ghosts of popped balloons, this "X" may be two pieces of tape intended to cover the hole that would have caused the balloon to deflate. A white mass of fluff sits on top of Drifloon's head. Drifloon usually try to grab children in attempts to spirit them away, but these attempts always end up with the Drifloon getting swung around. Being filled with air lets Drifloon either expand or shrink to express its feelings. It evolves into Drifblim starting at level 28.

Finish off the head, attach the cloud with super glue. Construct the outside of the skirt, then the inside, but before connecting these two parts, attach the legs/arms. Using a very sharp craft knife, make two small incisions where they should go between the two sections of the front part of the skirt. Attach these limbs, to the inside of the outer layer, with a tiny spot of super glue, then insert the inner layer into the outer (pre-glued) layer, trimming off excess inner skirt. Now you can attach the hearts to the arms/legs, closing these parts over the ends of the limbs.

We've also included 3 alternate faces: a super happy face, a surprised face and a puffing face, only because these were too cute to be left out! To apply these textures in Pepakura Viewer, you go: SETTINGS > TEXTURE SETTINGS > SPECIFY TEXTURE IMAGE > [find the correct texture image supplied by us in the download file] > OPEN > CLOSE. Enjoy!

HOPPIP V2

187 / HOPPIP - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Hoppip
Type: Grass/Flying
Species: Cottonweed Pokémon
Height: 0.4 m (1' 4")
Weight: 0.5 kg (1.1 lbs)
Interesting Facts: Hoppip’s most unique feature is its ability to be blown into the air. Hoppip are by necessity social creatures. Their light bodies make them extremely vulnerable to winds, so they cluster together and link sprouts with each other in order to anchor themselves in place, or grip the ground firmly with its feet to keep from being blown away. It evolves into Skiploom starting at level 18, who evolves into Jumpluff starting at level 27.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 19.0 cm/7.5 in
Width: 15.9 cm/6.3 in
Depth: 13.0 cm/5.1 in
No. of Pages: 4
No. of Pieces: 30
Level: Easy
Designer: PMF
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: It's quite small in comparison to our regular models, but still relatively easy to build. Start at the head and close at the bottom - it won't matter if the closing point is messy, because you glue the feet over that part anyway - just follow the numbers. Attach the tail after you have completed the body. With regards to the leaf on it's head, after you have glued the two sides together, you will need to attach it to Hoppip's head with a reasonable blob of super glue (preferably the gel version that is readily available at good hardware stores).

EKANS (Chinese New Year 2013)

Name:
Ekans
Type:
Poison
Species:
Snake Pokémon
Height:
2.0 m (6'07")
Weight:
6.9 kg (15.2 lbs.)
Interesting Facts:
It can also use its tongue to sense danger, and can move quietly through the grass. Like actual snakes, Ekans will lash out with a bite when frightened by anything it sees as a threat. If one happens to be bitten by a young Ekans, they are lucky. As an Ekans, it doesn't possess the ability to add poison to its bite until after it evolves into an Arbok. It evolves into Arbok starting at level 22.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 18.0 cm/7.1 in
Width:

Depth:
20.9 cm/8.2 in
No. of Pages:

NOTES: This is a nice and easy Pokémon model. You start at the head and finish at the tail, just follow the numbers on the template. To close Ekans, make the body and then the rattler (tweezers required for this part) separately. Then use some good, strong glue to secure the rattle on the end of the tail.

DRAGONAIR V2 (Chinese New Year 2012)

148 / DRAGONAIR V2 - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Dragonair
Type: Dragon
Species: Dragon Pokémon
Height: 13′01″ (4.0m)
Weight: 36.4 lbs. (16.5kg)
Interesting Facts: Dragonair are docile Pokémon that give out a gentle aura that can be felt by people nearby. Although shy and protective of their habitat, they are also very powerful dragon Pokémon. Dragonair have the ability to shed their skin, ridding their bodies of unwanted ailments. Dragonair are rare Pokémon that often inhabit lakes and seas. The best places to look for one might be Kanto Safari Zone, Dragon's Den, and Mt. Coronet. Although it has been mentioned that it has the ability to fly, Dragonair is unable to use the HM Fly, or any other Flying-type moves for that matter. It evolves from Dratini starting at level 30, and evolves into Dragonite starting at level 55.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 19.0 cm/7.5 in
Width: 18.9 cm/7.4 in
Depth: 12.1 cm/ 4.8 in
No. of Pages: 4
No. of Pieces: 37
Level: Medium
Designer: POdragon
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES:
Start at the head and close at the tail by attaching the last two pieces of the tail to the last ball on it's tail. You will need to add a small counter weight into it's belly (piece no. 24) to stop it from rolling onto it's face. Tweezers are essential for this model as some parts are so thin and fiddly. Build following the numbers.

ROSELIA (Happy Mother's Day)

315 / ROSELIA - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Roselia
Type: Grass / Poison
Species: Thorn Pokémon
Height: 0.30 m (1′00″)
Weight: 2.0 kg (4.4 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Roselia's aroma can bring serenity, but the thorns on its head contain a vicious poison. Roselia usually drink nutrient-rich spring water. Since Roselia is a plant-based Pokémon, it also nourishes itself through photosynthesis. It evolves from Budew via happiness during the daytime, and evolves into Roserade when exposed to radiation from a Shiny Stone.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 18.9 cm/7.5 in
Width: 32.8 cm/ 12.9 in
Depth: 20.0 cm/7.9 in
No. of Pages: 7
No. of Pieces: 35
Level: Medium/Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: Start at the head, and work your way down the body, closing the model at a leg by wrapping the tab faces around, one by one. With regards to the arms, build the roses first and then add the arms on, from hand to shoulder, then attach it. With the additional weight of the roses in mind, we recommend that you insert a length of scrap paper (rolled up tightly) into the arm cavity for added support at the elbow joint, and then glue a small square of scrap paper over the shoulder-arm connection tabs to ensure that the arms stay attached to the body.

Depending on your own skill level, you can choose between a simplified rose or the original version (see picture), but be aware that the latter is very tricky, and requires some thought and a little paper manipulation! Brandon suggested that an alternative would be to use the Kawasaki origami rose instead of the supplied papercraft versions. A base has also been included in the pack and is recommended as this model is not designed to stand independently.

IGGLYBUFF

174 / IGGLYBUFF - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Igglybuff
Type: Fairy
Species: BalloonPokémon
Height: 0.3 m (1'00")
Weight: 1.0 kg (2.2 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Igglybuff's extremely flexible and elastic body makes it bounce continuously. If it starts to roll, its bouncing can become out of control and very difficult to stop. Igglybuff can often be found practicing its singing. If it continuously sings strenuously, its body slowly turns a deepening pink color. Igglybuff's vocal chords are not sufficiently developed however and it can often end up with a sore throat from singing too much. It evolves into Jigglypuff via happiness, which evolves into Wigglytuff when exposed to radiation from a Moon Stone.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 15.0 cm/5.9 in
Width: 12.4 cm/4.9 in
Depth: 12.8 cm/5.0 in
No. of Pages: 4
No. of Pieces: 11
Level: Easy
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: This model is essentially a ball, so to stop it from rolling around uncontrollably, you need to insert a counter weight in it's bottom before closing it. It's a simple enough template, the only advice I can offer is that when you attach the back piece to the sides, glue the center flap together, section by section (i.e.: do one pair of horizontal tabs at a time), rather than one whole side and then the other - you'll end up with a cleaner finish.

Name:
Exeggcute
Type: Grass / Psychic
Species: Egg Pokémon
Height: 0.32 m (1'04")
Weight: 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Exeggcute resemble light pink eggs. The shells have some cracks on them (and may even have their yolk/brain exposed). These Pokémon gather together in swarms of six - there must be 6 for it to maintain balance. They communicate with each other by using a form of telepathy that only they can understand. Despite obviously looking like eggs, Exeggcute are actually similar to plant seeds. It evolves into Exeggutor via Leaf Stone.

POKÉ BALL Version 2

POKÉ BALL Papercrafts
Name:
Poké Ball
Interesting Facts: A Poké Ball is a type of item critical in any Trainer's quest. It is used for capturing and storing wild Pokémon. There are four different basic levels of Poké Ball, and over a dozen variations on the Poké Ball design throughout the games. A Poké Ball's strength is determined by how much it raises a wild Pokémon's catch-rate. Many Poké Balls' strengths change based on certain conditions. Poké Ball may also limits the strength of the Pokémon inside it.
THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 10.0 cm/3.9 in
Width: 9.7 cm/ 3.8 in
Depth: 9.8 cm/3.8 in
No. of Pages: 3-4 (depending on which model)
No. of Pieces: 39-73 (depending on which model)
Level: Medium-Hard
Designer: THI
Photo: Skelekitty
NOTES: Download pack includes: Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Master Ball, Safari Ball - Kanto, Safari Ball - Sinnoh, Moon Ball, Luxury Ball, Premier Ball, Net Ball, Nest Ball, Premier Ball, Crystal Ball (as seen in Pokémon 3), and just for fun a jumbo sized 30cm Poké Ball ... Have fun!

Please be warned, these models are NOT for the faint-hearted at all. Despite the simplicity of the patterns, these Poké Balls can be very difficult and frustrating to close properly - as is the case with any papercraft sphere.

The new templates do have more pieces than the original unfold, but they are laid out in a constructional order, and may provide readers with a slightly easier build. Of course, you can still choose to use THI's original Poké Balls, which are also included in the download packs.

Also, the button is heavier than any other part, so before you close up, secure a penny/weight onto the center-spot of the bottom half of the Pokéball. And we recommend that you always refer to the .PDO whilst building.

Name:
Raichu
Type: Electric
Species: Mouse Pokémon
Height: 0.63 m (2'07")
Weight: 29.98 kg (66.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Although Raichu is quite small, it is capable of storing over 100,000 volts of electricity in its body. Raichu is much more aggressive than Pikachu, especially if it has stored too much electricity in its body. It needs to constantly discharge this electricity through its tail into the ground, and will electrocute objects, people, and Pokémon until its electricity level is back to normal.

THE PAPER MODEL

NOTES: The ears and tail are the tricky parts of this model. The ear curl must be glued together and cut out before the ear is constructed. The tail should be made and attached before the main body is closed up. Start at the base of the tail, and build each section before inserting it, with a generous amount of glue, into the previous part. Remember to wait for that section to cure (dry) completely before moving on to the next piece. And as a bonus, we are also including a surprise :o version of Raichu in this pack!
