CYNDAQUIL

155 / CYNDAQUIL - Pokémon Papercraft

Name: Cyndaquil
Type: Fire
Species: Fire Mouse Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m (1′08″)
Weight: 7.9 kg (17.4 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Cyndaquil is a timid Pokémon. It lives in groups and tends to hide in dangerous situations. Its fur is bluish on top of its body, but a milky color on the underside. Although called the Fire Mouse Pokémon, Cyndaquil seems to be a composite of features from the echidna, seen in the flames erupting from its back, and the shrew, the general shape of its body. Its eyes are often closed, as it is still young. It has four spots from which its flames erupt. It lacks claws on its forelimbs, but has a single claw on each hind foot.

THE PAPER MODEL

Depth: 16.9 cm/6.65 in
No. of Pages: 6
No. of Pieces: 38

NOTES: If you plan on building Cyndaquil without flames, it'll be a Medium difficulty level craft.

Follow the numbers on the template to assemble the model. First build and asssemble the flames, then leave them aside and start building the main body (starting from the feet). Once you've glued piece 24, glue the flames to the body, and then glue piece 25 around them. This is the hardest part in the model.

To make Cyndaquil stand, you'll have to add a little weight inside it, in correspondence of its mouth.

Is there a zip or pdf version of this? I'm not familiar with rar files or how to extract them.

There are many ways to unpack a RAR file:
http://download.cnet.com/7-Zip/3000-2250_4-10045185.html
or
http://download.cnet.com/Free-RAR-Extract-Frog/3000-2250_4-10804840.html
or
http://download.cnet.com/RarZilla-Free-Unrar/3000-2250_4-10647724.html
for example. These are all freeware programs.

Huh.. I opened the "unlined" file but all the pieces were lined anyway. What should I do?

Anonymous said...

same here. i don't build lined ones for myself, so i went into normal A4 lineless and IT STILL HAD THE LINES. can someone do something about that??

Forestpelt said...

Yeah that'd be useful :P I really want to make this craft, without the ugly lines.

Have you checked out the faq? You'll need two programs; one for the rar - Winrar
and one for the pdo - Pepakura

hey how i make the cyndaquil's hands ? and why "don't print the flames"the is a part of cyndaquil,or no?

Brandon said...

The bigger ring attaches to the next smaller ring. Like so.

That part that the text is next to is noting that if you want the flames, that piece isn't necessary. Either make the flames, or make the piece on the last piece; just not both. Or you could try making that piece as part of the body, and attaching the flames on the outside; though no guarantee that would work.
