NOTES: The model is really easy: follow the numbers and you won't have any problem. Pay attention to the mountain/valley folds of the shell, as it's the only challenging piece of the model. The model jumps to hard if you decide to build the round neck pieces, mainly because they are small. They are optional though, and you can either decide to skip them altogether, or to use some cotton balls to obtain the same effect.

SPHEAL

Name: Spheal
Type: Ice / Water
Species: Clap Pokémon
Height: 0.8 m (2′07″)
Weight: 39.5 kg (87.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Spheals are round, baby seal-like Pokémon. Their plushy fur is a powdered blue color, with several white spots on its back and a beige underside. They have circular eyes, small tusks protruding from their upper jaw, stubby ears, beige flippers and a little flat tail. Curiously, its rounded, spherical appearance makes it bear resemblance to a balloon, or a ball. Spheal always travels by rolling around on its ball-like body, for it is much faster than walking and because its body is poorly shaped for swimming. Despite this, it may dive into the sea, in which case its fur keeps it from feeling cold. When groups of Spheal eat, they all clap at once to show their pleasure. Because of this, their mealtimes are noisy.

Piplup is a poor walker, and often falls down. Its pride, however, makes it puff up its chest without a care. It is a skilled swimmer, diving for over ten minutes to hunt. In the anime, it can sometimes fly short distances, despite penguins not being able to fly.

Type: Water
Species: Sea Weasel Pokémon
Height: 0.7 m (2′04″)
Weight: 29.5 kg (65.0 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Buizel possesses mainly mammalian characteristics with orange fur and paws as well as resembling a realistic cross between a weasel and a sea otter. The collar that is around its neck can be inflated and used as a flotation device when the Pokémon inhales. Buizel also carries characteristics of sea creatures, in that it has two blue fins on its arms and two tails, appearing to be split up, that resembles a fish's fin. Its tail acts as a boat propeller by spinning. There are parallel marks on their cheeks quite similar to those of Furret. Additionally, Buizel has cream-colored paw pads on both its fore- and hind-feet.

THE PAPER MODEL

NOTES: The model is'n t really difficult: the only challenging parts are the tail (when it becomes a double-tail) and the head fins (mainly because they're small: use tweezers to hold the tabs in their place while they glue, and it'll be simpler). As usual, follow the numbers while building and refer to the pdo when in doubt. Have fun!

PIKACHU v2

025 / PIKACHU - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Pikachu
Type: Electric
Species: Mouse Pokémon
Height: 0.4 m (1'04")
Weight: 6.0 kg (13.2 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: A Pikachu is a short, chubby, ground-dwelling rodent notable for its Electric abilities. Pikachu have short, yellow fur with brown stripes on the back, red cheeks that can produce small jolts of electricity, a mouth that looks like a sideways three, black-tipped ears, along with an unusually shaped tail, resembling a lightning bolt. Besides its evolution and pre-evolution, it may be related to Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, and Emonga due to notable physical similarities. Pikachu are known to have acute senses of hearing, thanks to their large ears. Most domestic Pikachu are able to understand and interpret human speech at levels far surpassing those of any pet dog.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 18.1 cm/7.1 in
Width: 15.2 cm/ 5.9 in
Depth: 16.1 cm/6.3 in
Pages: 5 (pikachu) + 1 (scarf)
Pieces: 43 (male)/45 (female) + 1 (scarf)
Level: Medium
Designer: Brandon/Lyrin - Scarf: PMF
Photo: Lyrin
NOTES: The model isn't difficult, the only tricky parts are the fingers. First thing, start with the thumb and create the five pyramids that compose the fingers. Once you've done it, making the rest of the hand will be really simple. Anyway, refer to the pdo for building them: it'll be even simpler (I've also coloured the finger-parts that need to be glued together with the same colour). As for the rest, follow the numbers on the template and you'll be fine. Once you reach the tail, choose if you want a female or a male Pikachu, and only print the corresponding page. And if you want to build the scarf, there's a close-up picture in the download pack that shows how the knot is done (and also the fingers, so you can use that picture for further reference). Please note that you can use normal printer paper to print out the scarf (it'll be simpler to wrap around pika's neck, in fact), and that there's no need to glue it: it's completely unwrappable and removable. There are also a blue and a red scarf texture in the pack, in case you want to customize your Pikachu (you'll have to change the texture settings in pepakura viewer to use them).

TEPIG [POKABU] (Chinese New Year 2019)

498 / TEPIG - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Tepig (Pokabu)
Type: Fire
Species: Fire Pig Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m (1′07″)
Weight: 9.9 kg (22.0 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Ken Sugimori said that Tepig and its evolutions were meant to evoke a Chinese feel. Its typing and appearance are reminiscent of Zhu Bajie, a pig demon from the Chinese tale, Journey to the West. Tepig evolves into Chaobu starting at level 17, which evolves into Enbuoo starting at level 36.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 18.1 cm/7.1 in
Width: 7.5 cm/ 2.9 in
Depth: 17.8 cm/ in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 35
Level: Medium
Designer: Paperpokés Team
Photo: PMF
NOTES: The model is kinda simple to build, the only hard parts are to close the body, but mostly to glue the tail correctly on the body so it stand right.

Start by building the nose and then the rest of the head. You can glue the ears already on the head or wait until the end (it might be easier now). After, build the front legs, the chest and the body (orange pieces) and attach them together. You can now glue the head and the body together. Glue the first big black piece on the body, then build the rear legs and attach them to the black piece. Finish to build the "behind" from the top to the bottom where you can close the model between the legs with the black square piece.

The tail is the hard part to make; not to build but to twist correctly. You'll probably have to force it a little to bend correctly and it might be a good idea to glue the tail to the body at the base and also at the middle of the tail where it roll over the body. You'll also need something to hold it in place while it dries.

Finally, you still have to build the ball and glue it at the tip of the tail. You can use the twist of the tail to make it stand more easily and you'll need something to hold it in place while it dries too.

Interesting Facts: Spiky-eared Pichu (also known as Notched-ear Pichu) is obtainable in HeartGold/SoulSilver only if you go to the Ilex Forest Shrine whith the special Pikachu-colored Pichu in your team. It'll jump from behind the shrine and join you at level 30, female, with the moves Volt Tackle, Helping Hand, Swagger and Pain Split. If taken to Professor Elm, it is revealed that she has travelled through time with Celebi. He adds that the reason it cannot evolve is because she has been time travelling for so long. NOTES: The model isn't difficult to build overall. The only challenging parts are the arms and the tiny thumbs. I suggest you to use tweezers for holding the thumbs tabs while they glue. As usual, follow the numbers on the template, and use the .pdo as reference (recommended). The ear-spike is optional: you'll have to build the left ear first, then assemble the spike, fold its tabs inside it, and then glue it on top of the ear. I've included shiny textures even if Spiky-eared Pichu hasn't a shiny version ingame. I did so in case someone wanted to build a simple shiny Pichu (leaving out the ear-spike).

RIOLU

447 / RIOLU - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Riolu
Type: Fighting
Species: Emanation Pokémon
Height: 0.7 m (2′04″)
Weight: 20.2 kg (44.5 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Riolu are sensitive to a special type of energy called Aura. Riolu's evolved form, Lucario, can use these waves to attack, or study these waves to predict the movements of their opponents, and use them to track anyone. However, Riolu does not have the ability to fully use these powers, although it can still emanate these waves to communicate and sense them - albeit only in "ripples" as opposed to the "waves" of energy its evolution can sense and guide. Most notably, it cannot learn Aura Sphere or Detect naturally, two moves that Lucario learns that are often attributed to its aura powers. Like almost all Fighting-type Pokémon, Riolu naturally has superhuman strength, stamina, and endurance and is capable of making long journeys on foot in a short amount of time.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 19,9 cm/7.8 in

Depth: 14,3 cm/5.6 in

NOTES: This model is pretty straightforward, just follow the numbers on the template while building it. Using the pdo as reference will help a lot. It doesn't stand without a weight inside: I rolled a small scrap piece of paper and glued it inside Riolu's chest (front) in order to make it stand.

Interesting Facts: Torchic are small baby birds that are covered in orange and yellow downy feathers. Their wings are underdeveloped and are almost useless aside keeping the Pokémon warm. Their legs and feet however are well developed for running and scratching. They also have a crest on their heads which vaguely resembles a flame. They also possess a flame sac much like other fire Pokémon like Vulpix and Flareon.

NOTES: If you plan on building Cyndaquil without flames, it'll be a Medium difficulty level craft.

Follow the numbers on the template to assemble the model. First build and asssemble the flames, then leave them aside and start building the main body (starting from the feet). Once you've glued piece 24, glue the flames to the body, and then glue piece 25 around them. This is the hardest part in the model.

To make Cyndaquil stand, you'll have to add a little weight inside it, in correspondence of its mouth.
