FERALIGATR

160 / FERALIGATR - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Feraligatr
Type: Water
Species: Big Jaw Pokémon
Height: 2.3 m (7′07″)
Weight: 88.8 kg (195.8 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Feraligatr opens its powerful jaws to intimidate its foes and viciously shakes its head once it clamps down on foes or prey. Because it has difficulty supporting its weight out of the water, it has been known to move on all fours. However, when hunting or fighting, it is agile and fast, due to its powerful hind legs. Feraligatr can rarely be found living near the water's edge.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 17.7 cm / 7.0 in
Width: 21.9 cm / 8.6 in
Depth: 22.6 cm / 8.9 in
Pages: 10
Pieces: 81
Level: Medium-Hard
Designer: PODragon
Photo: Feel free to submit your own at our email and we'll display the best/most creative!
NOTES: Slightly tough, but if you can get past all the "rough skin" patches that are a bit embossed, it can go by quick. Build following the numbers, starting with the mouth and work your way down. Build the arms from the fingers to the shoulders, attach them when you can, and keep working down the body. Attach the tail before starting to work towards the bottom of the feet to close. Use the pedal base to help it stand (and give it some style 😎) Optional microphone included as well.

GROOKEY

810 / GROOKEY - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Grookey
Type: Grass
Species: Chimp Pokémon
Height: 0.3 m (1′00″)
Weight: 5.0 kg (11.0 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Grookey has two, leaf-shaped hair tufts that hold a stick on the top of its head. Besides using it when attacking, Grookey beats this stick rhythmically against the surfaces of all sorts of objects. This has been observed to cause grass to grow, and wilted flowers and leaves seem to regain their color when Grookey drums nearby. The stick used to be a branch from a forest where troops of Grookey lived, and it has a special power due to being exposed to the energy within Grookey's body.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 13.9 cm / 5.5 in
Width: 11.7 cm / 4.6 in
Depth: 13.5 cm / 5.3 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 53
Level: Easy-Medium
Designer: Brandon
Photo: Build by CrafterWong - the Chibi Grookey pictured can be found right here as well!
NOTES: This would be just outright easy if it weren't for those pesky hands and feet. Build the model from the head down. Make sure to attach the ears, nose and head leaf before closing the head. The only possible confusion is when you build piece 17. For part of it, you will need to glue the colored side to the tab - the line where it folds over on itself is colored in red. Once done with the head, build the body starting from the tail/back feet and closing it at the neck with piece 52. You will need to use tweezers or a toothpick in order to apply pressure to the fingers. In order for the model to stand I put two pennies inside the back feet to act as counter weight. Besides that, I hope you enjoy building!

FENNEKIN

653 / FENNEKIN - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Fennekin
Type: Fire
Species: Fox Pokémon
Height: 0.4 m (1′04″)
Weight: 9.4 kg (20.7 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Hot air is vented from Fennekin's ears, reaching temperatures of over 390 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). It uses this ability to intimidate opponents. Fennekin chews on twigs, which fill it with energy. It can be temperamental, but it tries to do its best for its Trainer.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 17.0 cm / 6.7 in
Width: 10.6 cm / 4.2 in
Depth: 14.1 cm / 5.6 in
Pages: 6
Pieces: 79
Level: Medium
Designer: Brandon

Featured Photo from: Ilana M via email!
NOTES: This one is a little bit tougher since its more rounded overall, but the modular-ness of it should help some. The head, tail, and body are all self enclosed pieces, with jutting cones to connect them all with. The head and tail cones should go into the pieces, whereas both body pieces that they rest on go outward to serve as a sort of bobblehead like connection. The pieces are numbered to start with the top of the head, work in the ears, and close at the bottom of the head. The body is meant to work from front to back, attaching legs as you go. Last but not least, the tail builds from outer tip to the base of it, closing with the triangle that plops onto the body

Weight: 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Rowlet is a small Pokémon, resembling an owl, with round body and two short legs. It is mainly brown with a white underside and facial disc. It has large black eyes and stubby beak, whose top part is white and the lower is orange. It has two leaves on the chest, arranged in a way so it resembles a bowtie. It also has leaves in the undersides of its wings and the tail. It is capable of rotating the head almost 180 degrees and has excellent night vision. It is able to fly silently and attack with powerful kicks.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 14.5 cm / 5.7 in
Width: 11.5 cm / 4.5 in
Depth: 11.7 cm / 4.6 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 26
Level: Easy
Designer: Brandon
Photo: LuIS
NOTES: Start at the bottom of the body and close at the top of the head. Glue one feather at each side, starting at the front. The head can be rotated in any position you want, just glue the pieces above the ring composed of 14 and 15 in another position and follow with the rest of the pieces of the top of the head. The bowtie and the beak should be glued before the model is closed. Note that the bowtie doesn't rotate with the head. After building the feet, place them on a flat surface and apply glue to the body where they'll connect. If you want the model to stand like it's on the pdo and the pictures you'll need to place something bellow the tail to keep it still while the glue dries.

NOTES: Start at the top of the mouth, building the nose first and the head around it. Be careful with the fingers, they are the hardest part, I really suggest tweezers to build them. Glue the details before closing at the tip of the tail. You can either build the base of use weight inside to make it stand, keep in mind that it took me some weight for it to stand, just add it a little bit at a time and place on a flat surface to see if it stands. There is a tough, green shell covering its back, which extends from its head to halfway down its tail. There is a small, off-center hole in the shell on the back of Chespin's head. The shell can protect Chespin from powerful attacks. Around the face, the shell has four leaf-like spikes, and one split into three parts on the back of its head. These quills are typically soft, but Chespin can stiffen them and use them for attack as well. Chespin's oval eyes are brown, and it has a triangular red nose and rodent-like incisors. Its arms have three fingers, while its feet have two long claws. The visible part of its tapered tail is orange. Despite having a curious nature that tends to get it in trouble, Chespin keeps an optimistic outlook and does not worry about small details.

Pieces: 25
Level: Medium-Easy
Designer: Brandon

NOTES: Start at the tip of the head and build by numbers, closing at the tail. Glue the leaves after the entire model is built. There are two tricky parts on this model: the area around the mouth and the shell. For the mouth, Fold the horizontal lines and glue pieces 7 and 8 together to the already built part. For the shell, don't glue pieces 11 and 12 to themselves as soon as you get to the body, do it as you proceed with the legs, only connecting them before gluing the last two pieces of the body. It takes some weight to stand, add it before closing.

Name: Oshawott
Type: Water
Species: Sea Otter Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m (1′07″)
Weight: 5.9 kg (13.3. lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Look! It snowed! Someone must've built an oshawott snowman! ;) The design is based on a set of plushes that were released for Christmas a few years ago in Japan.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 16.0 cm / 6.3 in
Width: 9.9 cm / 3.9 in
Depth: 10.7 cm / 4.2 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 23
Level: Easy/Hard (if you decide to build the optional neck round pieces)
Designer: Lyrin
Photo: Lyrin
NOTES: The model is really easy: follow the numbers and you won't have any problem. Pay attention to the mountain/valley folds of the shell, as it's the only challenging piece of the model. The model jumps to hard if you decide to build the round neck pieces, mainly because they are small. They are optional though, and you can either decide to skip them altogether, or to use some cotton balls to obtain the same effect.

CHIMCHAR (Happy New Year!)

390 / CHIMCHAR - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Chimchar
Type: Fire
Species: Chimp Pokémon
Height: 0.5 m (1'08")
Weight: 6.2 kg (13.7 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Chimchar is a bipedal Pokémon resembling a chimpanzee. It's body is mainly a shade of orange, but some parts such as face, belly, hands are light yellow. The flames on it's rear are produced by gas burning in it's stomach. These flames go out when it sleeps. It's very agile, being able to climb the ledges of tall mountains, the place where it lives.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 21.2 cm / 8.3 in
Width: 9.3 cm / 3.7 in
Depth: 16.7 cm / 6.6 in
Pages: 4
Pieces: 43
Level: Medium-Hard(no flames)/Hard(flames)
Designer: Brandon
Photo: LuIS
NOTES: Start it at the bottom of the head and close at the top. Same with the body, start at the legs and close at the neck. The fingers can be tricky, so take your time with them. The tail is the hardest part, and it's also optional. So in case you want to build it, be careful, fold the lines and take your time. Also, make sure to glue it before going far with the body. It takes some weight to stand so, before closing the body, add some weight by the unglued tabs of the last piece and place the head til it stands. After you have found the balance and the model stands, close the body and glue the head, but not with a lot of glue.

BRAIXEN

654 / BRAIXEN - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
Braixen
Type: Fire
Species: Fox Pokémon
Height: 1.0 m (3'03")
Weight: 14.5 kg (32.0 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Braixen is a bipedal, fox-like Pokémon. While the majority of its fur is yellow, it has black legs, white arms, face and neck, and a dark orange tail tip. The fur on its cheeks is longer, and a small mane of white fur covers its shoulders and chest. Long, wavy tufts of dark orange fur grow out of its large ears, and its eyes and small nose match this fur in color. Above its legs, the fur sweeps out to either side. When its mouth is open, two pointed teeth can be seen on its upper jaw. Braixen always keeps a stick in its tail, which it sets alight using its bushy tail fur. The flame from the lit twig is used for both attack and communication.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 17.8 cm/7.0 in
Width: 15.7 cm/6.2 in
Depth: 10.8 cm/3.6 in
No. of Pages: 4
No. of Pieces: 77
Level: Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: LuIS

NOTES: The model is composed of several parts: lower body, torso, arms, wand, and details of the body. The order you build is not important, but they must be assembled starting by joining the tail to the lower body, the torso to the lower body, arms to torso and the details and the wand at last. The lower body starts at the feet and it's built up. Be careful around the waist with all the spikes, it's one of the hardest parts of the model. I suggest folding the lines on these spikes, makes them easier to build. The tail is simple, start at the spikes at the bottom and close at the top, gluing the fur after it's built. Place the legs on a flat surface and glue the tail to it, using the pdo as reference. The torso starts at the head and it's built down. Closing it is the hardest part of the model, make sure to take your time there. It's necessary to reinforce the inside of the neck by gluing some pieces of scrap paper there, otherwise the head will fall. Also, there are optional teeth (not shown in the picture). The arms are simple, take your time at the fingers and you'll have no problem. The ear tufts can offer some trouble on the last piece if not folded on the spikes. Glue them to the head before gluing the wand. Proceed to gluing the details such as the spikes on the torso, close to the arms, the wand and the flame. I needed some weight, placed inside the tail for it to stand. Since all the pieces are separated, you have some choices regarding pose, such as the position of the arms and the rotation of the torso. The one shown in the picture is slightly different from the pdo one. If you use another pose that not the do's, be careful so the ear tuffs won't collapse with the flame and that it doesn't get too unstable.

MEGA BLAZIKEN

257 / M-BLAZIKEN - Pokémon Papercraft
Name:
 Mega Blaziken
Type: Fire/Fighting
Species: Blaze Pokémon
Height: 1.905 m (6'03")
Weight: 52.1 kg (114.6 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: As Mega Blaziken, it loses its yellow markings, and gains black markings on its upper legs and chest. Its hair like feathers take on a wing-like shape and point upward, and the portion around its chest is rough around its shoulders. The crest on its head changes into a flat horn that curves backward. The fire it creates on its wrists is now longer, as well.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 19.8 cm/7.8 in
Width: 15.8 cm/ 6.2 in
Depth: 11.1 cm/4.4 in
No. of Pages: 3
No. of Pieces: 74
Level: Medium-Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: LuIS
NOTES: The model starts at the belly and at the hair. Start at the legs, but close only the standing one now. Make sure to follow the instructions of when to glue each detail, specialy at the top with the arms and some fur. Close the torso at the bottom of it and glue to the legs. Make sure to reinforce the standing leg with some scrap paper glued into it. The model will need some weight to stand, so keep one leg open and only AFTER the ENTIRE model is glued together, put weight inside so it stands properly, close the leg after it's balanced and glue the details to it. There's a base with it, it should prevent the leg fur from beeing damaged from the weight. Numbers and further instructions included on the template.

Name:
Blaziken
Type: Fire/Fighting
Species: Blaze Pokémon
Height: 1.905 m (6'03")
Weight: 52.1 kg (114.6 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Blaziken was first seen in Pop Goes The Sneasel. Harrison used it to defeat the Sneasel that was blocking access to the flame of Ho-Oh. Harrison later used Blaziken in a climactic battle with Ash's Charizard.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 19.8 cm/7.8 in
Width: 19.3 cm/ 7.6 in
Depth: 11.8 cm/4.6 in
No. of Pages: 4
No. of Pieces: 76
Level: Hard
Designer: Brandon
Photo: LuIS
NOTES: The model had two start points, both being at the torso. Start by the legs, only don't close that part just yet. The torso is where parts can get complicated, the fur and the hair being the hardest parts of the model. There are plenty of notes and colored references on the template, I suggest using them all. The model can't stand on it's own, so weight is necessary, put it inside, BEFORE closing the legs and only AFTER the ENTIRE model is glued together, close the leg after it's balanced and glue the details to it. Also note that the standing leg MUST be reinforced from the inside, do so by gluing pieces of scrap paper into it. There's a base with it, it should prevent the leg fur from being damaged from the weight. Numbers and further instructions included on the template.

Name: Grovyle
Type: Grass
Species: Wood Gecko Pokémon
Height: 0.9 m (2'11")
Weight: 21.6 kg (47.6 lbs)
Interesting Facts: In the manga: The Treecko meant to be handed to Emerald was recovered by Wally and became a Grovyle to rescue his temporary owner when a wild Dusclops threatened to suck them into its infinite cavity. After a few more weeks of training at the Sky Pillar under Norman, it was able to awaken the ancient legendary Pokémon Rayquaza, but the huge gust of wind sent it flying miles away into a distant island where it evolved again to a Sceptile and was this time caught by Guile Hideout, who smuggled it into the Battle Factory to try to drive the nosy press away. It ended up being stolen by its legitimate owner, Emerald, and became a fixed member of his team.

EMPOLEON

Name: Empoleon
Type: Water/Steel
Species: Emperor Pokémon
Height: 1.7 m (5′07″)
Weight: 84.5 kg (186.3 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Empoleon is a large penguin-like Pokémon. In terms of color, it has a closer resemblance to a "real-world" penguin than its pre-evolved forms have because it is mostly black or navy blue as opposed to being a light blue. Its feet actually appear to have webbing on them. Its wings are tipped with blue metal and have three golden claws sticking out at the bottom. It has a short, blue, metal "fin" sticking out of its back and another "fin" that's on the front of its body that extends to where its chin would be then splits to form a sort of collar. This "collar" is probably because real penguins are said to be wearing "tuxedos," due to their black and white appearance. If one looks at Empoleon, it has a tie like fin in the middle of its belly, and the collar coming off it, this relates to the "tuxedo" of a penguin.

Name: Samurott
Type: Water
Species: Formidable Pokémon
Height: 1.5 m (4′11″)
Weight: 94.6 kg (208.6 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Samurott is a quadruped, blue sea lion-like Pokémon. Long, white whiskers extend from its snout and head, and on the back of its head is a large, rounded beige helmet-like shell with spikes and a spear-like, pointed protrusion in the front. Its underbelly is covered by a dull bluish gray seashell-like carapace, and its limbs are covered with beige, sectioned bracer-like coverings, looking as if comprised of seashells with the forelimbs’ bracers being the swords called ashigatana that it uses in battle. The lower two segments of these bracers are the scabbards for the two swords. The upper segment and spike make up the ashigatana and its handle, respectively. Samurott possess three navy digits on each limb, and a fin-like, splayed tail with the innermost section being beige like the seashell-like portions of its body.

TORTERRA V2

389 / TORTERRA - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Torterra
Type: Grass/Ground
Species: Continent Pokémon
Height: 2.2 m (7′03″)
Weight: 310.0 kg (683.4 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Despite their great size, these Pokémon are peaceful in nature and enjoy being with others of their own kind, preferring to bask in sunlight as they do not like to fight. When immobile, they look as if they are part of the ground upon which they rest, not as though they were a sleeping Pokémon. Because of this appearance, there are occasions when small Pokémon will gather and build nests on the shell of a stationary Torterra, who don't seem to notice or mind. When Torterra do move, they often migrate in herds in search of water. These herds give the impression of a moving forest.

Sceptile
Type: Grass
Species: Forest Pokémon
Height: 1.7 m (5'07″)
Weight: 52.2 kg (115.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Sceptile's appearance is based on a lizard. Sceptile's neck is somewhat long, and it has two crests on its head. Its eyes are semicircular with yellow scleras and red rims. Sceptile's lower jaw is also colored red, and there is a belt-like band of red coloration on its waist. There is a thin stripe across Sceptile's chest, somewhat resembling the shape of the letter V. It evolves from Grovyle starting at level 36. It is the final form of Treecko.

THE PAPER MODEL
Height: 12.3 cm/ 4.8 in

NOTES: Build from the head down, attaching the tail before the legs, and close at the feet.
When building the hands, glue the outer fingers first. Glue them to the middle finger then close the middle finger at its top. Tweezers will help.
Glue the yellow "seeds" before closing the model. Easier to fix them that way.
Insert a counterweight inside Sceptile's belly so it can stand properly.
Use super glue for the tail and arms' leaves. Glue them after the model is closed.
Twig not included. (PS: It's real.)

BLASTOISE

009 / BLASTOISE - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Blastoise
Type: Water
Species: Shellfish Pokémon
Height: 1.6 m (5'03")
Weight: 85.5 kg (188.5 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Blastoise is a large, bipedal, blue tortoise-like Pokémon with a tough brown shell and two powerful water cannons, which are like steel in appearance, that jut out of the top sides of its shell. The cannons can be withdrawn inside the shell, or rotated to point backwards; this enables Blastoise to commence jet assisted rams.
