EKANS (Chinese New Year 2013)
023 / EKANS - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Ekans
Type: Poison
Species: Snake Pokémon
Height: 2.0 m (6'07")
Weight: 6.9 kg (15.2 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: It can also use its tongue to sense danger, and can move quietly through the grass. Like actual snakes, Ekans will lash out with a bite when frightened by anything it sees as a threat. If one happens to be bitten by a young Ekans, they are lucky. As an Ekans, it doesn't possess the ability to add poison to its bite until after it evolves into an Arbok. It evolves into Arbok starting at level 22.

NOTES: This is a nice and easy Pokémon model. You start at the head and finish at the tail, just follow the numbers on the template. To close Ekans, make the body and then the rattler (tweezers required for this part) separately. Then use some good, strong glue to secure the rattle on the end of the tail.

Nice work! I like the posed you picked, with Ekans curled up instead of stretching out, it suits it better!
Splendid! I LOVE that pose. That is Ekans!
Ekans is one of my favorites :) This is a great one -- it looks pretty impressive on my desk! I don't like the glue I used this time around though, so I might go back to the tacky glue. Thanks for the great model!
anybody notice that if u spell ekans backwards it becomes snake? and if u spell arbok backwards it becomes kobra?
(plz respond) how do you close a papercraft?
They explain in the Paper Model notes "To close Ekans, make the body and then the rattler (tweezers required for this part) separately. Then use some good, strong glue to secure the rattle on the end of the tail."
for the yellow band around the neck, it has a tab to connect it with the next piece. Should the tab be on the top or the bottom? I'm having a hard time getting the neck to twist like it looks in the picture.
