GOLISOPOD

768 / GOLISOPOD - Pokémon Papercraft
Name: Golisopod
Type: Bug/Water
Species: Hard Scale Pokémon
Height: 2.0 m (6′07″)
Weight: 108.0 kg (238.1 lbs.)
Interesting Facts: Golisopod has a shell as tough as diamond and retractable claws that can cleave seawater in two. While it is skillful in battle, it often meditates peacefully deep in seaside caves. It is sometimes accompanied by Wimpod. Golisopod will do anything to win a fight. When it sees an opening to take advantage of, Golisopod will use the small claws on its front legs to finish off its opponent. Grapploct is natural predator or prey of Golispod depending on who wins the fight.

For this one in particular, please contact us at Paperpokes@gmail.com once you've finished it, to discuss how the weight distribution works too! I imagine Goli needs a base, but I'm not completely sure the best way to approach it.
NOTES: This one is tough, no way around that. It's also slightly indirect - you'll have to finish some parts of the body before starting to attach the armor, but you'll also have to slot in the waist armor before finishing the legs. The numbers on the template guide this, and reflect the slightly sporadic jumping between the appendages and the body. The main goal here is to build from the head down, then attaching the upper armor before moving too far down the waist. The arms and 'feelers' will attach just below the armor, gluing directly to the body on the outside. Ideally the lower hanging arm should also help support some of the weight/angle. From there, move down and completely make the waist armor before slotting it above the legs. Close the body at the leg indicated, and then attach the feet to the closed legs.

Tons of fun 90-degree turns in the armor plating! This was an enjoyable model to build.
