NOTES: The large leaf on the head requires only a very light scoring/embossing, otherwise it has the tedency to collapse on itself across those horizontal scores. The alternative is to use a heavier weigh paper. And close the model at the tail. Good luck / have fun!

You may want to fix the file that has the instructions on. I can't seem to be able to open it on any of them
If you are referring to the PDO files, you need to install Pepakura Viewer to open them. Check the Download Links on the right sidebar. It's only for Windows though, so if you're on a Mac then you're out of luck.

Chikorota was always my favorite! Just an idea-I made this on felt by glue-sticking the pattern down, cutting it out, and then peeling off the paper. After gluing the pieces together, I stuffed it with stuffed animal stuffing and ended up with a stuffed Chikorita! I believe this would probably work with any papercraft model that is completely enclosed.
I love chikorita!!! I have her as my hero and charmander as my partner in Pokemon Red Rescue team.
Its there an order to build te parts? or you can start where you want?
I tried to open from a kindle fire is there a way I could?
You would have to extract the zip/rar (zip in this case) using your computer first, and transfer the pdf file to your Kindle. But the pdo wouldn't be compatible.

Is there way to actually do the leaf without it tearing around the stem? I've even tried putting in a kebab stick, but it still tears. Any help?
The next step I would try is using heavier paper for the stem, but still using lighter paper for the leaf. Or layering pieces for the stem

I'll try holding it up with a kabab stick attached to the body, like I did when I made Charmander's foot.
